Welcome to Big Barn Camping and Glamping in Wales a small beautiful eco friendly campsite with 2 luxurious Glamping Domes, 3 Little Barn Eco Camping Pods and an 11 pitch Campsite, all pitches are individual well spaced out, a great place for a Welsh holiday.
The site is Located close to the township of Laugharne on the estuary of the river Taf, nestled in-between the town of Carmarthen and the Pembrokeshire boarder and is a gem for Camping and Glamping holidays in Wales. “So is this a campsite you will want to stay at ? “ The answer will be yes.
Now the best bit There's no extra charges per head, or for awnings and gazebos. You have a picnic bench and fire pit on each pitch free of charge, so unlike other sites we wont add this all to your booking total and with a No amplified music policy, whats not to love, its a great place to stay in Wales
The campsite opened in May 2018 and has the advantage of being a small lovely quiet campsite, with our no amplified music policy, hosting many a returning camping trip from regular couples and families who enjoy the friendly environment and familiarity of knowing the trip will be quite and relaxing and close to plenty of fun activities in the surrounding area. Also being situated on a farm, you’ll be able to see all the farm animals and see the baby lambs during lambing time, all of which you can read about in the farm blog.
West Wales boasts a number of excellent Blue Flagg awarded beaches, the nearest beach is Pendine Sands a 7 mile stretch of beautiful sand and is only 10 minutes away by car, along with both the very popular picture postcard seaside town of Tenby and fantastic Barafundle bay. Not much further along the coast are a number of other lovely Blue flag beaches including Amroth, Saundersfoot, Newgale the surfers paradise and Whitesands bay so if you love beaches you’ll have plenty to choose from.

Lower Cresswell is a Georgian farm set in 36 acres of beautiful pastures, and ancient woodland, with Herdwick sheep, Welsh and Saddleback pigs, goats, and a range of chickens and waterfowl.
Part of your fee goes towards planting a tree to off-set against some of your carbon footprint and help Climate change. So far here at Big Barn Camping 580 sapling trees have been planted on the farm since August 2018 creating new woodland and hedgerows which is a fantastic step in the right direction to reduce Climate change and helping wildlife.
Composting toilets use shavings instead of water so save 13 litres against each toilet flush, the ultimate eco friendly water saving toilet. All lights on site are sola so remember to switch that light off.
Recycling is on everyones agenda so having an active recycling plan is very important.
Please do take pride and recycle correctly during your stay using the recycling bins .
When showering if you turn the water off while using soap/shower gel and then back on to wash clean you will be saving quite a lot of water instead of leaving the shower water running all the time.
